We recently tested out a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres that we had fitted to a 270bhp front wheel drive Peugeot RCZ R. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is a max performance summer tyre designed specifically for the enthusiastic driver.

I completed around 300 miles on this set of tyres over a week-long period and I was certainly surprised by the tyres performance. The 270bhp was a high payload to be running through the tyres and they coped admirably. They felt very gripy and performed exceptionally well putting all that power to good use.
Harsh But Fair
Our testing was all road based but we did get some opportunities to really work the tyre hard over the week. The tyres we tested were on a set of 19″ alloy wheels which made the tyre feel very rigid, but did help contribute to some incredible lateral grip and highly competitive braking performance.
Performs in the Wet
On a couple of occasions I got to test the tyres in the wet and they by far exceeded my expectations, I was very impressed with how the compound seemed to stick the road even in the wettest of conditions.
Verdict
