Alfa’s miniature supercar the 4C is already setting records. This time it managed a 8:04 lap of the Nurburgring, which is the fastest ever time for a car with less than 250bhp.
At just 240bhp from its turbocharged 1.75-litre four-cylinder engine, this Alfa is a very different Italian take on the sports car than most of its competition.
However, it has to be mentioned that although the record is great, is it not considered cheating if you have sealed up the bonnet and all body panels with duck tape to improve airflow first?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m keen on modifying cars and improving there performance, but duck tape seems a little extreme?!?!
However fair play play to Alfa some times you cant beat some low tech thinking to break records.
I should image if Alfa took this approach with a £120,000 Alfa 8c people might to start to think have they gone mad.
