A Striking Livery for BWT Alpine F1 Team’s A523 as They Gear Up for 2023 Season

BWT Alpine F1 Team has revealed its new challenger for the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season, the A523, at a star-studded event in London. The car is an evolution of its predecessor, the A522, as the team prepares for the second season under the new regulations introduced in 2022.

The A523 features a stunning livery that combines the historic blue of Alpine with the striking pink colors of the team’s title partner BWT. The team has also added a new decorative crystallized pattern to symbolize Alpine’s derivation and historical roots in the Alps. The team confirmed that it will feature a full pink livery for the opening three Grand Prix of the season in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.

All-Normandy Driver Pairing

The team’s official driver line-up for 2023 was also unveiled, with Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly set to form an all-French and all-Normandy driver pairing. Ocon is in his fourth year with the team, while Gasly was announced as a BWT Alpine F1 Team driver last October. The duo first met as aspiring race drivers at nine years of age and have risen through the racing ranks to Formula 1, each picking up a landmark Grand Prix victory.

Bold Targets – BWT Alpine F1

BWT Alpine F1 Team has set bold targets for the upcoming season as it continues its climb towards the front of the grid within the 100-race plan. The team finished fifth in 2021 and fourth in 2022, and now aims to finish in a much more convincing fashion, with more finishes, more points, and fewer unforced retirements.

Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer and Technical Director Matt Harman outlined the team’s sporting objectives and provided an insight into the team’s design and development philosophy for the upcoming season. The team’s Reserve Driver for 2023 will be Jack Doohan, who will also be competing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Enstone, United Kingdom

The A523 has been developed by the design and technical teams at the team’s bases in Enstone, United Kingdom, and Viry-Châtillon, France. The drivers have already had their first taste of the car during the team’s official filming day at Silverstone, and they will continue their preparations for the season at the upcoming Formula 1 pre-season test in Bahrain. The first race of the season will take place in Sakhir on March 5.

BWT Alpine F1 Team has highlighted the valued support from its title partner BWT and premium partners: bp Castrol, Renault e-Tech, and Mobilize Financial Services, as well as its portfolio of Official Partners, Technical Partners, and beneficial suppliers. The team’s ambitions and strategy align with Renault Group’s Renaulution framework, and Alpine is confident that it will continue its climb up the grid in the coming seasons.
