Citroen UK have recently been out shopping for a new brand ambassador for the C5 Aircross SUV, and it seems they found what they were looking for somewhere amongst the aisles. They have announced the English Rugby star and Sports commentator, Austin Healey, as the new appointee.

On the topic of his new position, Healey commented: “I’ve been a fan of Citroën since I was a young boy, so it is an honour to be able to work with the brand and be the ambassador for New C5 Aircross SUV. With all the challenges of a busy family life, the comfortable and spacious interior, numerous cubby-holes and useful technology will make everything from running the girls between sports practice to travelling up and down the country for work, an absolute pleasure.”

It seems that Healey is going to have to fit a bit more into his busy family life in the near future, as part of the Citroens new C5 Aircross show he will support key brand activities over the coming months, such as joining in with various brand events and speaking at dealer meetings.

Market Share Increases Within The UK
Citroen are currently enjoying the sunrise as their market share increases within the UK, due to a multiplication of deeds such as the brand launching six new passenger car models in two years. Citroen are hoping the introduction of a public figure such as Austin Healey will help that to grow even more, all they can do now is wait and see.
