Danesfield House Hotel and Spa – Marlow

Danesfield House Hotel and Spa is a gorgeous hotel set 30 minutes outside of central London between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. Originally built in 1901, Danesfield House is a Grade II listed building surrounded by 65 acres of crafted gardens and parkland and has glimpses of the Thames in its sights. A gorgeous and impressive setting perfect for this premium and stylish hotel.

Everything You Need and More

Despite its history and grand exterior, there are plenty of contemporary touches including tranquil water gardens, tennis courts and even a crochet lawn. And of course no luxury hotel is complete without spa facilities, and Danesfield is no exception. The award winning Spa Illuminata specialises in well-being and relaxation and features a 20m pool, fully equipped gym, eight treatment rooms and an extensive range of treatments.

The restaurant at Danesfield boasts three dining areas, The Orangery, The Oak Room and The Terrace, so you can pick a setting to complement your mood. The exquisite food served from Chef Billy Reid’s kitchen is incredible, I would particularly recommend the steak, which was one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The loose-leaf tea is pretty good too.

The Bedroom

The rooms on offer do not disappoint either. My room was ultra-premium and fully equipped with everything you would need during your stay. The huge, well dressed, bed dominated the room and was complemented by modern, quirky and colourful features and furniture.

The bathroom blew me away with its digitally controlled shower, premium toiletries and modern and clean suite.

A Perfect Break

Danesfield House Hotel offers a relaxed atmosphere, premium facilities and incredible food, wrapped up with great customer service. Its location is ideal for a trip into London or alternatively taking in the Great British countryside, and the facilities on offer mean you can keep active and explore new surroundings and also unwind and recharge your batteries without stepping foot outside the grounds.
