Goran Trpevski – Car Maintenance Writer, Motor Verso
Hello, fellow automotive aficionados! I’m Goran Trpevski. If you’ve been navigating the vast corridors of Motor Verso, chances are you’ve stumbled upon at least some of my posts and guides. I’m here to share my automotive journey, the highs, the lows, and the grease-stained adventures in between.
As an experienced and passionate DIYer myself, one of my goals is to encourage as many people to DIY on their cars. After all, with just a bit of dedication, time, effort, and sweat, DIYing a simple fix for your car or maintaining it in your garage by your lonesome could save you a fortune over sending it to a workshop.
Plus, you get to learn quite a lot about a car by taking things apart and putting them back together again. In so doing, my aspiration here on Motor Verso is to help break down problems with cars, diagnose what’s wrong with them, and help you to understand how to repair them for good, once and for all.
The Genesis of My Automotive Passion
My love for cars wasn’t born out of watching flashy supercars zoom past on TV or hearing the roar of a high-performance engine. It was birthed in the practicality of necessity. Growing up in a household where every penny counted, taking our car to a professional mechanic for every minor hiccup wasn’t an option.
Instead, our garage became the operating room, and I, the budding surgeon. I admit to being a big fan of BMWs, so quite a few Bimmers went and came, from plucky and sporty M3s to ever-family-friendly X5s. Yet, it doesn’t mean that I’ve not spent time around other cars too, over more than 20 years of tinkering.
I’ve worked on Japanese economy cars, European luxury saloons, and American machinery. While it was primarily borne from my curiosity and enthusiasm for anything with four wheels and an engine, this vast sea of first-hand experience and learning with a lot of different cars has paid dividends today.
From Necessity to Passion
What started as a means to save money soon transformed into a passion. The thrill of diagnosing an issue with a car, the satisfaction of finding a solution, and the sheer joy of hearing that engine purr after a long repair job became addictive. If there was a problem with any car, I wanted to try my hand at fixing it.
I realized that with the right knowledge, tools, and a bit of elbow grease, I could fix most car issues at a fraction of the price. Not only is this keen DIY spirit supremely cost-effective, but it’s also more sustainable and much more satisfying. This is the takeaway that I want our readers to leave with, as well.
In an age where consumers are less in control of the products that they’re using, cars are no different. Modern vehicles are far more complex and tougher to comprehend, but that doesn’t mean that they’re impossible to fix by yourself. DIY fixes are still a great alternative, and I’d like more folks to try that.
Why I Write for Motor Verso
Motor Verso resonated with my own philosophy of empowering car owners and general consumers with knowledge. The platform’s commitment to providing genuine, in-depth, and actionable information was in perfect alignment with my own goals, in guiding our readers on how to diagnose and fix car issues.
Joining the Motor Verso family was an opportunity to share my insights, tips, and experiences with a far wider audience. It gave me a creative and imaginative outlet to help others navigate the often daunting world of car maintenance and repairs, as well as learn more about how automobiles work.
My DIY Ethos
I firmly believe that with the right guidance, most car issues can be resolved in your own garage. Why spend hundreds, if not thousands, on repairs when you can do it yourself for a fraction of the cost? You may have noticed this in most of my posts here, as they are a testament to this keen DIY ethos.
Whether it’s guiding readers on selling a car for parts or discussing the reliability of specific car models, my aim is to provide practical, hands-on advice. So, don’t be anxious or nervous about diving into your car’s engine bay to replace the spark plugs, as I and the team will always be there to guide you.
In the vast digital landscape, authenticity is paramount. Every article I pen is backed by thorough research, personal experiences, and a genuine desire to help. Whether I’m discussing common issues with specific models or providing DIY repair tips, my focus is always on accuracy, relevance, and reliability.
Staying Updated: The Automotive World Never Sleeps
The automotive industry is ever-evolving. New technologies, innovative solutions, and emerging trends are constantly reshaping the landscape. As a car maintenance writer, I believe in the importance of staying updated, even if my personal preference is for older, simpler, and more analogue cars.
I’ve been to car meets, and automotive workshops, and have gone through countless online resources to keep up with the continued evolution of the automobile. From electric vehicles to new-age mobility solutions, I won’t stop to simply watch as they go by; rather, I want to dig deep and get my hands dirty with them.
Looking to the Future
As we steer towards a future dominated by electric cars, smart technologies, and sustainable solutions, my mission remains unchanged. I aim to empower car owners with the knowledge and skills they need to tackle challenges head-on. Future cars will have future issues, and that’s something I’d like to be in.
Whether you’re a seasoned car enthusiast or someone just venturing into the world of DIY car repairs, I’m here to guide, assist, and share my expertise. Are you hearing odd noises from your suspension or are the brakes not working as well in your car? If so, I’m here to guide you every step of the way until it’s fixed.
In a nutshell, my journey in the car world has been one of continuous learning, hands-on experiences, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. Through Motor Verso, I hope to share this passion and expertise with all of you. Together, let’s make car maintenance less daunting and more empowering for everyone!
