We found the latest Design-1 Hardtop from Jannarelly Automotive and simply couldn’t pass the car by. The 60’s styling on the vehicle is awesome! For those of you that look closely however, you will notice a touch of Porsche 550, Ferrari 250 GTO and dare I say it: Jaguar F-Type. I believe the convertible has been available since early 2016, but now we see the hardtop version that looks more aggressive and sleek in its flowing design.
Still Lightweight
We can’t tell you much about the car at the moment. However, Anthony Jannarelly, designer of the W Motors Supercars and Frederic Juillot, owner of Equation Composite, are confirming only that the lightweight hardtop and new glass windshield – which replaces the ‘aeroscreen’ on the convertible versions, will not add much extra weight to the car. The interesting point about the vehicle is the windscreen and hardtop roof are front hinged and can be removed entirely if you are feeling a little crazy. Adding a lid to the car has completely changed the look and of course, will divide followers, but having choice is always a good thing.
Getting Sexier
“I knew that if Jannarelly Automobiles ever made a convertible, I would want to design a coupe too and in the beginning, I was really struggling to make the roofline look good. But then I took a lot of inspiration from the ‘low drag’ Jaguar E-Type that raced at Le Mans back in the 60s. From there the car just kept on getting sexier!” – Anthony Jannarelly
The convertible uses a naturally aspirated 3.5 litre V6 engine creating 304 hp and 371 Nm of torque. If you are interested in the full specs of the car then take a look here. But for most of us, I think we can just admire its beauty in the below pictures.
