Porsche have made it official that they will be making the most extreme Cayman ever the GT4. Priced from £64,451 (which is around £9,000 more than a Cayman GTS). You can now order the car for deliveries in at the end of March 2015.
The Cayman GT4 is the smaller sister car to the 911 GT3 and aimed at consumers who regularly take their cars to track days, but also like to drive home in them afterwards.
Design Changes
The Cayman GT4 looks very extreme on the outside. There is a huge fixed rear wing, low front bumper with a trio of air inlets and a larger rear diffuser. It is likely that the body kit generates positive down force at high speeds. There are also Carbon-ceramic brakes on the options list and the suspension is stiffened and lowered by 30mm as default.
Engine Specification
The GT4 is powered by a 380bhp 3.8-litre flat six derived from the 911 Carrera S’ engine. That is an increase of 45bhp over the next most powerful Cayman, the GTS. 0-62mph in the GT4 is now just 4.4 seconds and top speed is raised to 183mph.
Quality Standard Kit
The standard list of equipment includes more nicely sculpted sports seats trimmed with leather and Alcantara, a slightly smaller GT4 designed steering wheel, a Porsche Torque Vectoring system with a rear limited slip differential and a sports exhaust. There will also be a DAB radio and climate control to keep us comfortable and entertained inside the car.
