The Honda HR-V is back. The compact crossover has been sold in the UK from September 2015 and will start at £17,995.
The Honda HR-V is actually based on a platform we are already familiar with, the Honda Jazz. Honda, like most, saw the market demanding a small car with SUV looks and so redeveloped the HR-V to meet these needs.

The exterior of the HR-V looks very appealing, it provides a cheeky looking small SUV that has a sense of exploration about it.
As with most new Hondas, the car comes with the ‘magic seat’ system that allows the back seats to be folded completely flat, or fold up like a cinema seat. This helps make the car exceptionally practical.
Engine and Gearbox Choices
In the UK the HR-V will only be available with two engine choices; an all-new 128bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 118bhp 1.6-litre diesel. Both engines will come with a manual gearbox as standard and the automatic will be an additional option.
Honda say that the diesel version of the car can achieve up to 70mpg and from testing the car I don’t think they are to far off.
Four Model Variants
There will be four model variants of the car available in the UK – S, SE, SE Navi and EX. Starting at the bottom the S gets 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, a DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity, climate control and front and rear parking sensors. Next up the SE gets 17-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, automatic lights and wipers, and Honda’s 7-inch touchscreen Connect infotainment system. Higher up the range, SE Navi adds satellite navigation. Lastly, top the of range model, EX gets keyless entry and start, panoramic sunroof, leather trim, rear-view camera, heated seats and LED lighting.
