The New Enyaq Electrifies Skoda’s Modern Solid Design Language

Having conquered Europe’s premium EV space by storm, Skoda has now refreshed the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe – one of Europe’s most successful all-electric vehicle line-ups. Skoda will tell you that the noteworthy highlight of this refresh and facelift is integrating their new ‘Modern Solid’ design language on the Enyaq. However, there are a tonne more interesting changes in the new Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe once you peel away that pretty skin. For starters, the Enyaq now has improved aerodynamics, with a slipperier drag coefficient of 0.245 Cd for the Enyaq SUV and 0.229 Cd for the Coupe. This also means that you get more range, too!

In particular, the top-spec Enyaq trims can go as far as 365 miles (587km) on a single charge. You’ll also find new digital features, such as improvements to Skoda’s Remote Park Assist, the Remote Trained Parking system, and the MyŠkoda app. And, best of all, the Enyaq is arguably even better value now, with more extensive standard equipment on this updated model. You now get heated front seats and steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, and an electric boot with kick activation… All as standard! If you’re interested in getting one, the updated Enyaq could be spec’d with one of two battery sizes and three powertrain options.

Bringing The Enyaq Up-To-Date With Modern Solid Design

Speaking of, there are three models that you could pick and choose from, including the Enyaq 60, Enyaq 85, and the Enyaq 85x. Between them, there’s the choice of a 63kWh battery and a bigger 82kWh battery pack, with your choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, depending on the specific trim. Moreover, those three powertrains output 204PS (310Nm torque), 286PS (545Nm torque), and 286PS (545Nm + AWD), respectively. You’ll also get quick charging up to 175kW (or 165kW for the Enyaq 60), allowing you to top up your new Enyaq from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes (or 24 minutes for the Enyaq 60)! Then, there’s the Enyaq’s sharper looks.

Skoda calls their new illuminated front grille design on the Enyaq the ‘Tech-Deck Face’. There, you’ll find a shiny, gloss black panel, housing sensors for the advanced driver assistance suite, as well as being illuminated by 36 LEDs arranged vertically to create a striking ‘face’. Pair this with the full LED matrix headlights to create a ‘four-eyes’ design, it even helps with enhancing visibility in the dark and preventing glare for other motorists. Look elsewhere on the new and refreshed Enyaq, you may spot some of the aero improvements. This includes some new alloy wheels made to reduce air resistance, optimised air curtains, and redesigned front bumpers.

More Tech And Standard Equipment In Skoda’s EV Champion

Underneath the refreshed Enyaq SUV and Enyaq Coupe, which are now among Skoda’s most aerodynamic models, there’s a huge uplift compared to last year’s standard equipment. You now get a 13-inch infotainment system (with satnav) as standard, a 5-inch gauge cluster, an optional heads-up display with AR, tri-zone climate control, keyless entry, a wireless charging pad for your phone, and an electric tailgate. I’m also a fan of the clever easter eggs that you could find throughout the Enyaq if you look closely enough. My favourite is how they include an integrated ice scraper with a tyre tread depth gauge and an umbrella in the driver’s door.

Once the order books open here in the UK, Skoda’s updated Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe could be spec’d with one of three trim levels… SE L (SUV model only), Edition, and SportLine (exclusive for the AWD models). The flagship SportLine trim offers you a tonne of upgrades, including a bigger set of 20-inch alloy wheels (21-inch wheels remain optional), gloss black trim, a heads-up display, progressive dynamic steering, and even sports suspension for improved handling. All in all, I’m pretty excited about the updated 2025 Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe, which does bring a lot to the table for would-be EV buyers in the premium segment, so consider checking it out!
