We now know that it’s not only the Porsche 911 road car that’s been updated for 2017. Porsche have been spotted testing their new updated race car, the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR, on their German test track at Weissach recently.
High Hopes
The new Porsche 911 RSR replaces the most successful GT race car of the 2015 season, so I think I speak for everyone when I say we have high hopes for the 2017 911 RSR.
Specs Please!
Engine-wise, a 4.0 litre flat-6 was in the previous reincarnation of the 911 RSR but as no specifications for the 2017 model have been released yet, we can only speculate about what’s underneath the brutish good looks we see on the test track.
When Can I See it in Action?
The first official outing for the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR is reported to be in January 2017, the first drive being the legendary 24-hour race at Daytona International Speedway. What a way to make an entrance.
