The 2017 F-150 Raptor is now available in the UK. Ford ended production of the previous version of the truck in 2014 so anticipation for this new F-150 Raptor has been steadily increasing. There are two cab options on offer. The SuperCab has rear-hinged doors while the SuperCrew is more spacious, with larger rear doors too. Starting from £78,000, there are plenty of additions to be able to up that price.

Any viewings are by appointment. A big chunk of what you pay for the Raptor is the £36,000 to convert the car to right-hand drive. However, this beast is in good hands. Clive Sutton use precision-sculpted mouldings of interior components before specialist craftsmen use a blend of both traditional and modern techniques to ‘mirror’ the dashboard appearance and steering assembly.
Among the standard F-150 Raptor’s features are the high-performance Fox Racing shock absorbers, which give the Raptor fantastic off-road agility. The 3.5 litre V6 engine already gives you 444 bhp but if that doesn’t quite cut it, £10,800 supercharging package will push it to 590. The Raptor’s twin-turbo engine offers 510 lb-ft of torque and comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. For an extra £3,200, the Raptor can have an active sports exhaust option too.
All sorts of factory extras to suit the driver’s fancy are on offer. Take your pick from 10-way (TEN!) electrically adjustable and heated seats, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera system, twin-panel ‘moonroofs’ (the cooler name for a sunroof), and a trailer towing package with Ford’s Backup Assist technology.
