Goodwood 2017 Greets Ford GT and Mustang GT4

Goodwood House, West Sussex, hosts motoring events this month, with Ford as a major player.

Got June 29th and 30th in your calendar yet? Well, time to jot them down. The dates mark the start of motoring events at Goodwood House this year. The Moving Motor show and Festival of Speed 2017 will take place later this month. And Ford are set to be the star of the show.

Ford GT Makes the Climb

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell get behind the wheel of the road-going Ford GT. The end of the month marks the GT’s first dynamic appearance. Priaulx and Tincknell will take the road model on its debut Hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017.

Joining the pair on the Hillclimb will be team mate Billy Johnson. In a shift away from the GT race car, Johnson will have his hands on the wheel of the Ford Mustang GT4. First unveiled in Las Vegas at the 2016 SEMA Show, the Mustang GT4 is an all out racer raring to take on the gruelling 1.16-mile Hillclimb course.

Hillclimb Drift Debut

The Festival’s first Hillclimb Drift Championship will take place this year. Drift star Vaughn Gittin Jr makes his welcome return to Goodwood 2017 to compete alongside his Mutang RTR.

First-Show Fever

Ford isn’t just making its mark on the track, however. Those who can tear themselves away from the rip-roaring tack action should visit the Ford stand. Visitors to the stand will set eyes on UK debit of the all new Ford Fiesta model. Ford will also show the Ford Performance inspired ST-Line range, including the Fiesta ST-Line.

Clear your schedule and get down to Goodwood House this month. You won’t be disappointed by the spectacular array of events and model showcases Ford has to offer. The Moving Motor Show will be held on Thursday 29th June. The 2017 Festival of Speed will take on a three day stint between Friday 30th June and Sunday 2nd July.
