Audi UK has finalised the pricing and specification options for two of their RS models – the 2020 RS6 and RS7.
The RS6 Avant will go on sale for £92,700 with a choice of four packages – RS6, RS6 Carbon Black, RS6 Vorsprung, and a limited run RS6 Launch Edition.
RS7 Sportback coupe
The RS7 Sportback coupe will start from £97,050 and is available in the same four variants.
Both cars will be powered by the twin-turbo V8 TFSI engine, delivering 600ps (approximately 590bhp), and will utilize the Quattro AWD drivetrain.
This combination will allow these RS models to hit 60mph from a standing start in 3.6 seconds, and if conditions are right, 124mph in 12 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155mph, or 174mph in the Vorsprung and Launch Editions.
All-wheel steering will also come as a standard feature for the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback, to enhance low-speed handling and high-speed stability.
Both RS models come with the now commonplace plethora of luxury car design features – 21-inch alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, tinted windows, and aluminium detailing.
The Carbon Black versions increase the wheel size by an inch and add a sleek black finish, as well as a carbon black finish on the exterior trim such as the wing mirrors, window trim, and spoiler.
The top of the line Vorsprung models come with 22-inch wheels in a titanium matt gloss design, and a gloss black styling package. In addition, the twin exhaust pipes are finished in black to differentiate Vorsprung models from the other variants.
Inside, all models are equipped with heated and ventilated front RS sport seats with integrated headrests, electric adjustment and honeycomb-stitched Valcona leather upholstery.
All RS models will come with a 12.3-inch touch screen display as standard, which features an RS exclusive setting showing the driver important information on tyre pressure, torque, power output, engine oil temperature, boost pressure, lap times, acceleration measurements and g-forces.
RS6 and RS7 Sportback Carbon Black models are finished with carbon finish interior trim, and Fine Nappa leather or grey Alcantara on the centre console and door cards.
Vorsprung variant RS models place even more emphasis on comfort with unique features such as a panoramic glass sunroof, power door closure, Bang & Olufsen 3D audio, and front and rear seat heating.
They also include the ‘Tour and City Assist’ packs, equipping them with virtually every advanced driver aid available from Audi, including adaptive cruise assist and the predictive efficiency assistant to Audi side assist and cross traffic assist front.
The Launch Edition
Early buyers will have access to the RS Launch Edition spec which combines the best features of all of the available variants.
Red brake callipers are unique to this version and are housed inside 22-inch gloss black wheels, which fit in with the exterior gloss black styling pack.
Options for buyers of these Launch Edition RS models are five matt-effect paint finishes, the sport exhaust system (standard for Vorsprung and Launch Edition versions), ceramic brakes and de-restriction of top speed from 155mph to 174mph (also standard for Vorsprung and Launch Edition models).
“These incredible new successors to firm favourites from Audi Sport made their world debuts to great critical acclaim earlier in the year, and for their arrival in the UK we have created a range of market-specific equipment packages that fully capitalise on all that they have to offer,” says Director of Audi UK Andrew Doyle. “Whether they prefer the unadulterated brawn of the RS 6 or the more elegantly framed extremity of the RS 7, our customers can choose from four carefully considered UK specification options that show each model in its very best light.”
