Have you ever heard of the Mono Supercar? It’s the world’s only legal, single seater supercar in the world! Now its maker, British Automotive Company, has officially launched BAC USA in America.
Homegrown in the USA
BAC used to export the high-end supercar into the United States. Now, however, the vehicle will be produced and sold directly in America.
Based in California, BAC USA will provide technical support and technician training. They even have ambitious plans of having 8-10 BAC dealers in the USA over the next 12 months.
According to the new BAC USA president, Mark Rayner, “This is an incredibly exciting time for BAC with the launch of BAC USA. Buyers can benefit from added peace of mind and we can attract new customers to experience the Mono.”
Co-Founder and President of Product Development, Neil Briggs states, “our venture in the United States of America is born out of extensive industry research. It’s the biggest and most informed supercar territory in the world, which is why it’s at the very top of our global sales strategy. We’re looking forward to sharing the Mono dream across the Atlantic even more.”
BAC USA – More About the Mono
The Mono was introduced into the global market in 2011 by BAC, which currently has its headquarters in Liverpool. Co-founded by brothers Ian and Neil Briggs, BAC designed the Mono as a supercar that could be legally driven on the road.
The 2016 model comes with a four-cylinder 305 bhp 2.5 litre Mountune engine. It weighs 580 kg/1278.68 lbs, and can reach 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. BAC recently launched some new improvements like a carbon hybrid wheel and also the use of graphene, which is 20% lighter and 200 times stronger than steel. These new features give the Mono supercar a larger advantage on the road, offering consumers excellent road performance and protection.
Experience the Mono
If you’re looking to experience the supercar, dealers can be found in North America, Japan and London. Despite BAC’s global expansion, they remain proud to be a British company. So, why not give the Mono a try?
