The Chevy Camaro Makes Its Return, To One Dealership
The Chevrolet Camaro makes its debut in the UK this year with a price of around £33,000. Despite the fact that Chevy pulled out of the UK market last year, the Camaro will be sold from the one dealership left in Surrey. This announcement is likely to be thanks in part to the success of the Ford Mustang that went on sale in 2015. Chevy are not expecting to return to the UK market in full any time soon, but the success or failure of the Camaro may mean more American cars will come over.
More Expensive Than The Mustang, With Less Equipment
Chevrolet are offering customers the option of a 2.0-litre version for around £33,000, this is £4,000 more than the comparable Mustang Ecoboost, with the 6.2-litre V8 (the one you want) coming in at £37,000. The V8 model comes with an impressive 455bhp and 455lb-ft of torque as well. That 6.2-litre engine will catapult you to 60 in 4.4 seconds. The Camaro is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed paddle shifted automatic.
Mustang Is Probably The One To Go For
Overall, the Mustang is a much more handsome car when compared with the Camaro. Whilst they both track their roots back to the early days of the muscle car, the Camaro has turned into much more of a girls gone wild car, it is the Mercedes SLK of America. Whereas the Mustang has retained much more of its brutish good looks. The Camaro is unlikely to succeed in the UK, along with the fact it’s only available from one dealership, it appears Chevy don’t care about the UK market all of a sudden and they’ve admitted defeat. The Mustang is fully available all over the UK and is cheaper and faster than the Camaro, and in all honesty is the one I’d go for.
