Fancy dancing the night away surrounded by a few thousand of your closest friends and family, going to an event at the London O2 or maybe just a few days in London? Whatever it is that takes you to London, the InterContinental London is the place to stay.
Newly opened in 2016 the hotel feels clean, fresh and modern, and with 453 luxury rooms, 5 bars and restaurants, one of Europe’s largest pillar-free ballrooms, a Beauty Spa, a gym and spectacular views of Canary Wharf, what better place to call home for a few days.
The hotel is just a stones through away from the O2 which meant I was able to have a drink in Eighteen Sky Bar looking out across the Thames at Canary Wharf as the sun went down, before heading off to a concert…not a bad way to start the night at all.
Room with a View
I had an Executive room on the fourth floor, it was impeccably decorated and amazingly comfortable. The room was well laid-out making good use of the space, even with all my bits and pieces around I was able to move about the room freely without tripping over myself.
My window overlooked The O2, which was a great vantage point for me on my second night as the Brits Awards were being hosted there and I was able to watch the comings and goings all night.
Getting Around
The InterContinental London has great transport links to all corners of the City. The Emirates Air Line glides over the Thames to the ExCel, and the Thames Clipper and Jubilee line are close by offering links to the rest of London and London City Airport.
