Noblechairs Launches Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team gaming Chair

In light of Mercedes-AMG winning yet another F1 constructors championship, and Lewis Hamilton becoming a seven-time F1 driver champion, the team from Brackley has joined forces with noblechairs to release an official gaming chair.

Affectionately dubbed the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team Edition Gaming Chair, the chair is as comfortable to sit in as its name is difficult to utter in one breath of air.

Amazing Value

Designed in Germany and built to celebrate the F1 World Constructors’ Champions title, it’s available in stores through noblechairs and other online retailers. It’ll set you back a cool £399, or €429 and $519 respectively, but if you know anything about gaming chairs, you know they’re usually worth every penny.

Since F1 drivers have to be extremely comfortable in the car in order to be fast, noblechairs applied that same logic to gaming when designing the perfect Mercedes-AMG gaming chair. As such, this chair has individually-adjustable seat height and has been optimized for long gaming sessions, sometimes exceeding 9 hours.

It features a hybrid material that’s both durable and easy to clean, and I should also mention that it’s water-resistant too. Having tested its predecessor for an extended period of time without getting up (~4 hours), I can tell you that it’s got one of the most ergonomic seating positions of any chair I’ve ever experienced.

Plenty of support

The integrated side bolsters (which use real carbon elements) provide lateral support. Even though you’re not experiencing any lateral G-force loads like an F1 driver would, it helps keep you in place and locks you in the most efficient position.

To make it even more comfortable and pleasant to sit in, they’ve also given it neck and lumbar pillows. Naturally, nearly everything is embroidered with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team logo, finished in clear white to contrast the black materials of the chair (with Petronas and side stitching finished in deep cyan).

The little lumbar pillow has an amazing illustration of the Mercedes-AMG F1 car, followed by noblechairs’ logo just below it. The chair also has matching aluminium base and premium nylon casters, both of which are designed to withstand 150 kilograms of weight (what the chair is rated for).

The rear backrest has over 45 degrees of possible tilt positions, so you can always find a comfortable spot irrespective of whether you want to be upright during gaming or reclined back when watching a movie. It’s got over 10cm of base height adjustment too, making it ideal whether you’re short or extremely tall.

A cut above the rest

Quite often companies use an iconic logo or brand from another manufacturer to justify putting a high price tag on their product. Fortunately, noblechairs’ partnership with Mercedes-AMG resulted in what must be, in my opinion, one of the best gaming chairs ever made.

Not only is it reasonably priced compared to its rivals, but it’s also amazing to look at and extremely comfortable to use for hours upon hours on end. It feels like a quality item too. If you’ve got the cash and want one of the most unique gaming chairs around, look no further.
