Korean brand SsangYong hasn’t always produced the best looking cars, although I have to say it’s definitely improved over the last few years and now the brand is pleased to announce two special editions of its Turismo people-carrier. It’s still not the best looking car but it’s certainly an improvement over the earlier models.
What are They?
Well put simply, they are the black and white editions so the clue is in the name. You can either choose from Space Black or Grand White, with new grey interior complete with new style seating. In terms of specification the new editions are based on the range-topping ELX model, which is able to boast features such as a cruise control, parking sensors, rear tinted windows, 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, heated front seats and automatic lights and wipers. The special editions also feature a heated steering wheel, Kenwood DAB radio and satellite navigation.
Power comes from a 2.2 litre diesel engine that’s mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox which is produced by Mercedes-Benz, plus there is 4×4 on offer as well to give more confidence when Mother Nature decides to be…’challenging’. The Turismo features double wishbone suspension at the front and a multi-link system at the rear to offer a comfortable for those inside.
Speaking of the inside; the Turismo offers space for seven occupants and 875 litres’ worth of luggage but, if you don’t need to utilise all the seats, you can boost luggage space to a whopping 3,146 litres. The price for the new Black and White editions start from £26,250.
