Dan Zelos Debuts Charity Livery for Parkinson’s UK at Croft Circuit

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and support, Dan Zelos, the current leader of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE points, showcased a unique one-off livery at Croft Circuit last weekend. This special livery was dedicated to Parkinson’s UK, a charity that holds a personal significance for Dan and his family.

Fundraising Initiatives at Croft Circuit

Dan, with the backing of the MINI CHALLENGE series team, organised several engaging activities during the race weekend on July 27th and 28th. The initiatives were designed not only to entertain but also to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s UK. These activities included:

  • Circuit Charity Walk: A walk around the Croft Circuit, encouraging spectators and other racing teams to join and donate.
  • Prize Draw: Participants had the chance to win exclusive prizes such as VIP hospitality tickets to Dan’s season finale race at Brands Hatch, his signed championship-winning gloves and cap, and a coveted grid walk pass.

Each participant was encouraged to donate a minimum of £5, with all proceeds directed towards Parkinson’s UK.

Davanti Tyres’ Contribution

As the principal partner of Dan Zelos, Davanti Tyres played a crucial role in the fundraising efforts. They generously donated the charity livery for the race weekend, which prominently featured Parkinson’s UK colors and branding along with a QR code for easy donations. The Davanti Tyres team also made a personal donation to the charity, further supporting the cause.

Spectacular Support and Fundraising Success

The event at Croft Circuit attracted thousands of spectators, all rallying behind Dan’s cause. Thanks to their generosity and enthusiasm, over £4,000 has been raised to date for Parkinson’s UK.

Voices from the Team

Dan Zelos shared his heartfelt sentiments: “Parkinson’s disease is a diagnosis which has deeply impacted my family over the past six months, so it means a lot to bring Parkinson’s UK on board with me this year. Both the EXCELR8 Motorsport family and I will be dedicating our efforts to raising awareness for the charity and contributing to their ongoing quest for a cure. Accepting this diagnosis has been a hard journey for my family and has served as a poignant reminder to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest. I want to thank everyone who has donated and supported us so far

Sean Maddocks, Davanti Sales Director for UK & Ireland, echoed Dan’s commitment: “As Dan is one of our longstanding partners, we didn’t think twice about supporting him and his family in their fundraising efforts for Parkinson’s UK. Over 150,000 people in the UK live with the condition, so it’s sadly a disease that touches many of us and has impacted my family personally. We are committed to helping raise as much money as we can for such a great cause.
