Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition Announced

Bentley has unveiled a new Continental GT Limited Edition to celebrate their victory at Pikes Peak earlier this year.

Only 15 of these cars will be available for purchase, and have been added details to pay homage to their record-breaking achievement.

The W12 powered Grand-Tourer beat the current production car record on the 12.42-mile course by an impressive 8.4 seconds.

Piloted by three-time former champion and ‘King of the Mountain’ Rhys Millen, the Continental GT climbed the 5,000ft high mountain course in 10:18.4.

The Bodywork

The Continental GT Limited Edition comes with a variety of striking aesthetic changes, which distance it from the standard production model.

An aggressive carbon fibre body kit complements the new ‘Radium’ paint job by Mulliner paintwork which shares the colour of the record-breaking car.

New gloss black detailing on the front bumper inserts, rear surfaces, roof, and wing mirrors, contribute to the sporty look, with buyers also having the option of a large ‘100’ painted on the grille as a reminder that the record breaking run took place on the company’s centenary year.

The Wheels

The wheels on the regular Continental GT are by no means pedestrian, but the wheels on offer for the Continental GT Limited Edition steal the limelight.

22inch gloss black Mulliner Driving Specification rims come as standard, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tires with a matching Radium finish.

Even the brake calipers are sprayed acid green to continue the luminous green theme throughout the car, down to the tiniest detail.

The Interior

The black and green colour scheme doesn’t end with the exterior of the car.

The seats of the Continental GT Limited Edition are alcantara with contrasting Radium green stitching and Beluga secondary hide.

The steering wheel is adorned with a Radium centre stripe and honeycomb stitching. The centre console is finished in piano black with carbon fibre detailing which matches the door-cards.

Passengers will be treated to a section of the Pikes Peak course printed on their side of the dashboard. There will be five different sections of the track which will be repeated on each of the 15 cars. This will be accompanied by a print of the record breaking time – 10:18.4.

Bentley’s Pikes Peak victory is even featured in the embroidery to the seat headrests in Radium stitching and treadplates.

The B&O speaker covers in Black Anodised and Radium finish further complement the vibrant interior colour scheme.

The Engine

Like the Continental GT that broke the Pikes Peak record earlier this year, this new Continental GT Limited Edition features the technologically advanced twin-turbocharged Bentley W12 petrol engine.

This powerhouse develops 626 bhp and 900 Nm of torque, resulting in a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 207 mph.

The Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition is available to order from December 2019.
