Directly from the Spartanburg’s plant in South Carolina, US. BMW launched the third generation of the all-new 2018 BMW X3. The old version has been around since 2010, so it was about time they had a re-model. The SUV market is living in a golden era and BMW can`t afford to be left behind. Especially as it`s main rivals, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class and Audi Q5, are pushing the boundaries with new technology. The new model`s upgrade includes a new chassis, fresh interior, a design remodel, the newest technology and a better engine. Starting at £41,224 will the all-new BMW X3 be able to beat it`s feistiest competition?
From one generation to the other the ”new” design of a German car doesn’t change much. But there are a few changes that can`t go unnoticed on the new X3. The nostrils on the grille are now bigger and are no longer connected to the LED headlights. The air intakes below is also larger and connects to the LED fog lamps which have a strip design. Besides getting a bolder shoulder line and larger air breathers behind the front wheel arch, the exterior still looks very similar to the previous model. Another returning feature on this new model will be BMW`s ”L” shape which will feature on the LED rear lights . The BMW X3 M receives big twin-tailpipes. But the new X3 with it`s muscular physique and aggressive nature, will help you get to where you want to go a whole lot faster. Indeed there is no going backwards after being in the driving seat of this new model.
Although the main focus of the design is to be ergonomic and offer functionality, so it follows the German way of thinking — rational. Plenty of hexagonal lines are present that harmonises style and class in such a way, that your friends will all want one to. It`s hard not to take note of the precise high quality designed interior. Everything is at your fingertips in this model as all buttons are easy to reach. On the dash feel your way through the three levels of sober colour designed textures. Either choose the cool to option to create an ambient atmosphere. Or have your own disco with blazing neon lights, you have 6 colours to choose from.
The new X3 has many new comfort-wise features. These include front ventilated and heated seats to keep you warm in the cool winter months. The passengers have the convenience to control the temperature thanks to 3-zone automatic AC. As well, you can individually adjust, including remotely, the 40:20:40 split/folding rear seats and back rest to increase comfort in the rear.
Both driver and passenger are able to control the state of the art entertainment system, including the technology that was debuted on the new 7 Series. That is only possible by access to rotary dial and touch screen.
