I love supercars the same as any other enthusiast, but I certainly don’t understand the culture around them. I have attended my fair share of car shows in my time and been to car meets etc. It turns out every one you go to has a different vibe in their own way. Some are really cool and others just seem to be filled with people you wouldn’t want to spend your time with.
Supercar Culture – Is it Competitiveness or Jealousy
In my opinion I think supercars for whatever reason create a lot of jealousy in others and that leads to a lot of competition dislike and even road rage in some cases. I see a lot of supercars that people have just gone way too far with, trying to better one and others in the same community. I guess I think it is a shame that we are all that desperate to stand out and be different from others that we go to ridiculous extremes.
But There is Still a Good Side
The good side to the community is that we have a lot of love and, in most cases, respect for cars. Some call it a hobby, others might even call it a sport. But I like coming together and checking out the latest models and looking at how someone has modified their classic. There is a lot to enjoy about doing this.
For the Love of Cars
Whether you go to car meets for the competition, the model updates or the like-minded people, everyone has the same thing in common; car enthusiasm. That’s something worth going for.
