INEOS Automotive Launches the Groundbreaking Grenadier Quartermaster Double Cab Pick-Up

INEOS Automotive proudly announces the beginning of series production for its latest offering, the Grenadier Quartermaster double cab pick-up. This milestone marks the launch of the second model from INEOS Automotive, following the successful release of the Grenadier Station Wagon. The Quartermaster made its initial debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July and is now set to make its first customer deliveries in Europe this December.

Uncompromised Versatility and World-Class Off-Road Capabilities

The Grenadier Quartermaster is engineered to deliver an unparalleled blend of off-road capability and load-carrying versatility. With a remarkable 264mm ground clearance, an impressive 800mm wading depth, and best-in-class approach, breakover, and departure angles, the Quartermaster is positioned as a top contender in the pick-up market.

Engineered for Performance and Dependability

Underpinned by the same robust box-section ladder frame chassis as the Station Wagon, the Quartermaster features heavy-duty solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials. It offers a choice of BMW’s 3.0-litre turbo-charged inline six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines, paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. This powertrain configuration ensures reliable performance in a variety of driving conditions.

Spacious Design for Maximum Load Efficiency

Notably, the Quartermaster is the largest model in the current line-up, riding on an extended 3227mm wheelbase, which is 305mm longer than the Station Wagon. This extended chassis not only enhances the vehicle’s stability but also provides a sizable and versatile load bay. With a payload capacity of up to 760kg, the Quartermaster can effortlessly accommodate a standard 1200mm x 800mm Euro pallet, making it an ideal choice for both personal and commercial use.

Future Plans: The Chassis Cab Model

Looking ahead, INEOS Automotive plans to launch a chassis cab model in 2024, based on the same frame as the Quartermaster pick-up. This model will cater specifically to conversion specialists and commercial body builders, further expanding the brand’s reach in the automotive market.

Commitment to Quality and Innovation

INEOS Automotive’s manufacturing facility in Hambach, France, acquired from Mercedes-Benz in January 2021, has been instrumental in bringing the Grenadier line to fruition. The facility boasts a new semi-automated paint shop, a fully automated body shop, and a new quality center, ensuring each vehicle meets the highest standards of production and finish.

CEO’s Seal of Approval

Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive, expresses her enthusiasm for the new model: “The start of production for our second model line is another extremely exciting and important milestone for INEOS Automotive. Having driven a late prototype in both Spain and the African bush, I can attest to its unbeatable off-road capabilities. It perfectly combines the rugged ability and refined performance of the Station Wagon with an enormous load bay, making it a fantastic addition to our model lineup.”
