Recently McLaren confirmed that their two drivers for the 2015 F1 season will be Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.
These two drivers will be heavily involved in the big changes that are coming to McLaren as they are going to be ditching the Mercedes engines and moving to Honda sourced units. Don’t forget that this isn’t a completely new thing for McLaren as back in the 80s they did use Honda engines and created the MP4/4 that Ayrton Senna won 15 of 16 races in back in 1988. So in the past it has been a successful partnership.
Alongside Fernando and Jenson, Kevin Magnussen will act as the team’s reserve and test driver.
