The main man at Aston Martin, Andy Palmer, has released new pictures of the DBX concept. The car has already been confirmed for production, following an extra £200m worth of investment. The £200m in funding will be supplied in the form of preference shares, half of which have already been released. The other half will be released 1 year from now.
In a statement, Aston Martin says it will “develop significant new luxury models that will drive the future of the company under its strategic business plan”. Under the plan, the company will expand into the luxury GT crossover market with the introduction of a new vehicle based on the DBX concept.
The Aston Martin DBX Concept was a surprise to us all at the unveiling at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. The car shows that Aston Martin plan to expand their model range to appeal to new types of customers.
