New Jaguar XF Sportbrake: Journey To Wimbledon Begins

I’m sure you know that Wimbledon is right around the corner. So, what better way for us to introduce the loved tennis season to you than to introduce Jaguar XF Sportbrake? Susan MacCormick from Edinburgh tweeted Andy Murray, Jaguar brand ambassador and infamous, professional tennis player. She merely asked for his thoughts on having the world’s most distant but beautiful tennis court feature in the APT world tour, though of course she never expected a response from the sporting celebrity. Truth be told, that was exactly what she got.

Murray Returns The Tweet

Murray replied with the simplest of words, “is that even real?” yet this was enough to kick the infamous Tennis player Tim Henman into action. Henman organised a road trip down to the stunningly quiet Bunabhainneadar Tennis Court on the Scottish island of North Harris with Susan in the passenger seat. Of course, they embarked on their journey in the sporty and stylish Jaguar XF Sportbrake.

On arrival to their desired venue, they were greeted by the young Logan Urquhart, 13, from Nairn. Urquhart was testing his tennis elbow with coach Mike Martin. After spending some time appreciating the sheer beauty of the location, they found themselves taking a four-person selfie together. With the blue skies behind their faces, this unique selfie shot straight to Murray to confirm that, yes, it does indeed exist. The potential for a perfect location.

Details Will Follow

Although more details on the XF Sportbrake are to be released mid June, this motor really is stunning. So far, we know to expect a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder, twin-turbo V6 diesel, and a supercharged V6 petrol that produces up to 280kW. With a streamline that gives it a sporty touch, the XF Sportbrake is still exquisitely sleek. It has also been confirmed that Andy Murray will be the man in charge of the big reveal of the glorious motor on 14 June. A meet and greet for Murray and MacCormick has been organised too. It is, without a doubt, not to be missed. In fact, you can catch a slight glimpse of what’s to come by watching the video below.
