Japanese brand Mitsubishi has announced prices for its new Shogun Sport, which is available to order a little later this year. Two trim levels will be available – ‘3’ and ‘4’. No, I’m not quite sure what happened to ‘1’ and ‘2’ either. Both models will be powered by a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel, which is all aluminium. This engine offers 179bhp with 43oNm of torque, which is fed to all four wheels, naturally.
Shogun Sport – What’s Included?
The ‘3’ trim is priced from £36,905, and offers standard features such as leather upholstery, electrically-adjustable front seats, LED headlamps, tail lamps and DRLs dual-zone climate control; reversing camera with rear parking sensors; keyless entry, privacy glass and automatic headlamps and wipers. Buyers will also get a good sized boot as the Shogun Sport is able to offer up to 1,488 litres of space.
The range-topping ‘4’ trim is priced from £38,905, and offers standard features such as heated front seats, Mitsubishi Power Sound System with a 510W amplifier, and Mitsubishi Motors’ most advanced safety and driver assistance systems including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), a 360˚ view camera and the Ultrasonic Mis-Acceleration Mitigation System (UMS) which utilises front parking sensors to halt any accidental sudden acceleration when any obstacles are detected nearby.
What Else?
The Shogun Sport will be offered in a colour choice of either Deep Bronze, Atlantic Grey, Sterling Silver, Imperial Red or Polar White. Heading back to the 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, it’s mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and as mentioned, it’s mated to four-wheel drive, but there is a drive select that enables the driver to opt for two-wheel drive instead. In regard to economy, the engine is able to offer 31.4mpg on a combined run and the CO2 emissions emitted come in at 222g/km.
The new Mitsubishi Shogun Sport is priced from £36,905 and will be available to order in the spring.
