STM Goods ChargeTree Swing-0232

STM Goods ChargeTree Swing Review

If, like me, you have a lot of electronics by your desk or bedside, then you’re likely quite familiar with that tangled mess of cables and wires. Not only are they an eyesore, but having to organise them later will be a pain. So, wouldn’t it be nice if you can charge multiple devices at the same time, with only a single wire to deal with? If that’s what you’re looking for, the STM Goods ChargeTree Swing might prove handy.

On the surface, it might look like just any other wireless charging stand. But unlike most charging stands, which could, at most, take on one device at a time… The STM Goods ChargeTree Swing is able to take on not 1, but 3 separate electronics. Specifically, for those of you who are in the Apple ecosystem. The front and foremost prominent wireless charging pad is made for your iPhone – any iPhone 8 and later.

Although, any other smartphone that uses the same wireless charging standard could be supported, too. Then, at the very back, on the base of the stand itself, there’s another charging mat for your AirPods and AirPods Pro. Finally, there’s the “swing” in STM Goods ChargeTree Swing… A smaller charging pad which you could use to charge up your Apple Watch. Yet, still being able to have access to its functions.

Better still, its Apple Watch charging mat is compatible with every Apple Watch series. In short, atop this sleek and elegant charging stand, you could be charging three devices at the same time… Your phone, an Apple Watch, and a case of AirPods. There’s no need to have bulky chargers everywhere on your desk, or a mess of tangled wires. Thus, helping you to save valuable desk space with its small footprint.

Very Compact, Yet Very Capable

There are other handy nice-to-haves with the STM Goods ChargeTree Swing, too. For starters, powering it requires a USB-C to USB-C connection, so you can throw those nasty dongles and old-fashioned micro-USB cables out. Furthermore, you can monitor your charging status with 3 LED indicator lights on the front, for your phone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, respectively. In addition, phone cases won’t cause issues, either.

The STM Goods ChargeTree Swing could readily pass wireless charging through phone cases as thick as 5 or so mm. Now, if you don’t need or have an Apple Watch to charge with, no worries, because the swing-out arm for the Apple Watch wireless charging mat can be retracted. Hence, helping you save a bit more space. Plus, the build quality and construction are pretty great too, worthy of standing the test of time.

Furthermore, depending on your set-up, the STM Goods ChargeTree Swing can be had in varying colours. The one major downside that we’ve seen is what’s included in the box… It contains the charging pad and a USB-C to USB-C cable. In other words, there isn’t a charging brick, so you’ll need to get one. Depending on where you are, it can prove challenging to find USB-C AC chargers, so your mileage may vary.

Besides the omission of a charging brick, the STM Goods ChargeTree Swing is a pretty nice accessory that I’d deem to be a must-have if you own a lot of these Apple devices… An iPhone, Apple Watch, or AirPods. Being able to charge all of them through a single device saves tonnes of space and helps to organise your desk a bit tidier. For its (now-discounted) £38.77 price tag, it’s well worth considering the expense.
