First-Ever Electric Drive in BMW 5 Series
For the first time, BMW brings an all-electric drive to the 5 Series Saloon. The i5 eDrive40 boasts an impressive 361-mile range, while the i5 M60 xDrive serves up breath-taking performance, accelerating from 0-62mph in just 3.8 seconds. These models combine the BMW signature driving pleasure with environmentally conscious choices, making for a thrilling, guilt-free ride.
The Pinnacle of In-Car Technology
The 5 Series is set to push in-car technology to unprecedented heights. It welcomes the BMW Interaction Bar, previously seen in the 7 Series, along with in-car gaming via AirConsole. An Electric Range for Every Journey
BMW has introduced an all-electric powertrain to the 5 Series for the first time. The BMW i5 eDrive40 offers traditional rear-wheel drive, a 340hp electric motor, and an electric range of 296 – 361 miles. For those craving peak performance, the i5 M60 xDrive delivers a staggering 601hp with electric all-wheel drive, accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
Power-Packed Performance
For the petrol fans, the 520i model features a four-cylinder petrol engine, equipped with 48-volt mild hybrid technology, and a new 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. This engine generates 208hp and 330Nm of torque, improving acceleration and the overall driving experience.
Anticipated Arrival
This thrilling range is expected to start from £49,850, with deliveries commencing in October 2023. The BMW 5 Series Saloon range will expand further in 2024, introducing new plug-in hybrid models, and the next generation of the BMW 5 Series Touring with all-electric drive.
