Crafting the Dream Car
With the upcoming launch of the new CLE Coupé, Mercedes-Benz is reviving its long-standing tradition of crafting dream cars. The CLE Coupé is a blend of the conceptual and technical advancements found in the C-Class and E-Class.
Combining an expressive design with unrivalled comfort equipment and sporty driving performance, the new two-door car carves out its own niche. The market launch in Europe is set for November, and a CLE Cabriolet will follow next year, further expanding the range.
Redefining Luxury Design
The CLE Coupé boasts a long wheelbase, strongly inclined A-pillar, a short front and slightly longer rear body overhang, prominent shoulders, and large wheels – hallmarks of a Mercedes-Benz design. The design language is aligned with the Mercedes-Benz Sensual Purity philosophy, resulting in a dynamic, powerful sculpture that makes an emotional statement from every angle.
A Powerful Presence
The new CLE Coupé features a progressively forward-leaning front section (known as the “shark nose”) with flat LED headlights, a low-slung bonnet, and a three-dimensional radiator grille. The overall effect is one of athletic elegance. Adding to the car’s dynamism are the power domes on the long hood, indicative of the powerful engines that lie beneath.
Room to Spare
Measuring 4,850 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,428 mm high, the CLE Coupé is the largest coupé in the mid-size segment. Its interior is equally spacious, offering rear passengers 10 mm more headroom, 19 mm more shoulder and elbow room, and 72 mm more knee room than the C-Class Coupé.
The boot capacity has been increased by 60 litres, comfortably accommodating three golf bags.
The Height of Luxury
Inside, the car features a free-standing 12.3-inch, fully digital instrument display, an 11.9-inch, driver-oriented central display in a user-friendly portrait format, and dynamic ambient lighting.
This impressive technology suite is rounded off with an integral sport design front seats, which, combined with the optional Burmester 3D surround sound system, create a unique immersive music experience.
Unveiling New Tech
In a first for Mercedes-Benz, the front seats are unlocked using an elegant loop made of Nappa leather, located at the upper edge of the backrest. The CLE Coupé also incorporates the latest generation of MBUX infotainment system, offering a highly interactive entertainment experience with a new level of personalisation.
Efficient Performance
The CLE Coupé is a standout in efficiency thanks to its electrification and intelligent downsizing. All engines are mild hybrids with an integrated starter generator and a 48-volt electrical system, providing a choice between four-cylinder units and a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine.
Ride in Comfort
The chassis is lowered by 15 mm as standard, adding a sporty touch. When equipped with the optional DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL, the vehicle offers agile and comfortable driving pleasure. Despite its larger dimensions, the CLE Coupé has a smaller turning circle than the C-Class Coupé.
Putting Safety First
The CLE Coupé includes an extensive array of driver assistance systems, enhancing safety and driving convenience. The standard package includes ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist, and a parking package with reversing camera. In Western Europe, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC is also standard equipment.
